Initial Examination
Before we can undertake any treatment we must first ascertain the condition of your teeth and gums and diagnose any problems. We start, therefore, with a thorough examination. This includes:
- Assessment of the hard and soft issues in your mouth and jaw joint
- Free oral cancer screening
- High resolution digital photographs of the inside and outside of your mouth
- X-rays, taken using our digital intra oral sensors.
These procedures give us a complete picture, which we then use to compile your individual and bespoke treatment program.
Time is taken to assess what we have found and all the data is then discussed and presented back to you. We spend the time and discuss your treatment goals with cosmetic and remedial therapy in mind, ensuring we restore your smile to health.
Recall Examinations
Your Inital Examination is so thorough that all we have to do is make sure we can maintain the health we have managed to get you to. We closely monitor all markers so as to ensure that you keep smiling healthily
The range of remedial treatments available at Ollie & Darsh includes:-
White fillings
More aesthetically pleasing than the old amalgam fillings, our white “composite” material can be used to replace old fillings (an affordable way to really lift your smile) or for any new ones required.
Onlays and inlays
Used to repair a tooth that has fractured or where the area of damage is too large for a filling.
Crowns
Fitted to teeth that are heavily filled, chipped or broken, porcelain crowns restore both the appearance and functionality of damaged teeth.
Bridges
Gaps in the mouth can lead to increased stresses on your other teeth and affect the way you bite and chew; a bridge can resolve these issues as well as giving an enhanced aesthetic appearance.
Root canal fillings
Feeling very much like an ordinary filling, root canals are filled when the nerve and blood supply to the tooth have become damaged or infected. This treatment is a real alternative to tooth extraction in a lot of cases.
Extractions
We only extract teeth when we feel that there is no other option, or where the prognosis is so poor that other forms of treatment are unlikely to be effective.
