Root canal treatment is carried out over a series of appointments. The first step in placing a root canal filling is to remove the pulp from the infected tooth. This is done using local anaesthetic, so you won’t feel a thing. We’ll then clean the root canals and get them ready for the filling.

Once the root canal has been filled with a special material known as gutta percha, we may need to restore your tooth with a larger filling or dental crown.
